Scottish Power are committed to reaching net zero by 2030.
To help them along with their net zero journey, they commissioned ECOSystems Technologies to design, manufacture and install a 19m x 8m workshop made from mass timber.
The building is designed to be fully demountable, allowing Scottish Power the flexibility to move the workshop as and when required.
Using temporary jackpad foundations, the building can be delivered and re-assembled in three volumetric units and 2 units which are panellised.
The main structural component is a glued laminated timber portal frame. The design allows for long unobstructed spans, ideal for the Scottish Power’s training needs.
