Following on from the successful delivery of the GenZero Classroom prototype, ECOsystems were commissioned to design and manufacture a proof of concept for a Multipurpose Hall.
The hall was built in collaboration with: Balfour Beatty, Cundall, Lyall Bills & Young Architects, Smith and Wallwork Engineers, Mott MacDonald, Ecosystems Technologies.
ECOsystems Technologies developed a build system based on the requirement of a 18m clear spanning hall.
A kit of parts was designed, allowing complete panels to be constructed with both internal and external finishes completed off-site.
On-site construction was minimal and focussed only on the interfaces between each panel.
